We were approached by a local agency that does a lot of work in the community to help create a fundraising benefit video for two non-profits in the Rogue Valley: Hearts with a Mission (HWAM) and Youth for Christ (YFC). We wrote, shot and edited this docu-style six minute video centered on a the story of a homeless teen named Diana who’s life was drastically changed (saved) by the cooperation of these two youth outreach organizations.
Quantum came to us needing photos and videos as a part of an overall branding and messaging initiative. We created a campaign and have started with three videos for them: a product video to highlight their new Fusion-M ophthalmic lens coating machine, a video showcasing their state-of-the-art testing lab and another video focusing on their ‘Made in the USA’ standards. We shot on-location in their manufacturing facility in Southern Oregon.
Being motorcycle riders ourselves, we love shooting these guys. Wes Siler of the popular and influential Hell for Leather bike mag came to test ride the new Brammo Empulse R in Ashland, Oregon (first outside opinion meant high stakes!). Brammo hired us to document the two days that Wes was visiting the Brammo facilities, riding the Empule R and conducting interviews with the Brammo guys.
Brammo asked for editorial style video and photography. What that usually means is that we don’t set up shots (i.e. lighting, blocking, etc.), we just capture the action. It was especially fun to capture a couple of great riders like Wes and professional Brammo rider Eric Bostrom as they literally rode two Empulse R’s to try and break them.
We have been fortunate enough to provide BRAMMO with photography since the early days of the Ariel Atom (see examples of it in our portfolio) . It is well known that BRAMMO is the leading electric motorcycle company in the world with vehicle distribution and marketing operations in North America, Europe and Asia. They are raising the bar on EVs (electric vehicles) yet again with the addition of the Empulse to their assortment of bikes that includes the award winning Enertia. We got to spend time with the new
The client hired us to concept and create this web video to launch their new website with. This is not a startup ecommerce site. M123.com is a very established international retailer and as such has a specific demographic and we enjoyed the challenge of coming up with the creative.
We had a great time working with Musician’s Friend on this national ad campaign. Musician’s Friend is the world’s largest music gear internet retailer and in the top 50 grossing ecommerce sites in the world. Their audience is hugely made up of successful musicians gigging regularly, if not under contract and actively making music (as opposed to beginners and/or school programs). They shared tons of stories
We went to the Oregon Dunes with Motorcycle USA to capture photo and video of two ATVs they were testing. If you’ve never ridden one before, it’s not like riding a bike. It’s fast, it’s technical and at times you just can’t wipe the smile off your face. The Oregon Dunes are especially great because it feels like you’re on an extraterrestrial playground.
It was a 4:30am wake-up call (7-11 coffee) at our place on the coast and sunrise on the beach (blocked by those dang coastal clouds). None-the-less, it turned in to a beautiful day for some great photography with friends. Once or twice a crowd gathered to watch the riders do inhumane/un-human things with the ATVs but most of the weekday we had to ourselves. We laughed, we rolled and we stopped for fish and chips afterward. See the pics and videos below or read the full article.
We have been providing the Snapshot Group with all Mitsubishi Television product photography for three years running. This brand is a good example of studio product photography at the highest level. Anywhere you see an official Mitsubishi television ad, we are proud to be responsible for the photography.
Our shots were recently featured for the cover & story of the latest issue of Dealernews. We think the cover shot turned out nicely! We also think the article is a must-read for our clients – most of whom are retailers of some sort – whether by internet, brick-and-mortar or the deadly triple-threat: Web, Store and County Fairs.
Here’s a short excerpt from the article:

- “In a room where gadgets invite comparisons to James Bond and “Star Wars,” Tyler Maddox has one-upped his competition in the world of commercial photography.”
This promo video is for one of the most successful, quickest growing micro-gyms (or “boxes” as they call it) in the country (as opposed to globo gyms a la Gold’s Gym or 24 Fitness). The name of the gym is The Den and it is affiliated with CrossFit.
